After a couple repairs and lots of futzing with cables... life!
This is the SHARP x68000, a vintage computer from Japan.
If the name sounds familiar- it runs on a Motorola 68000 processor. This vintage computer was never sold outside of Japan due to very strict export regulations in the 1980s which included this system. Inside Japan, there were many notable video game franchises that debuted and/or gained prominence on this platform

Tried out the Vive... Holy cow it was awesome! We played two games: Job Simulator and Windlands.
Job Simulator- While the premise for this game might seem nothing out of ordinary, there are enough goofy things to do ('supersizer', the fake computer) to make it super entertaining. All the humorous elements and robot characters seem larger than life and everything is executed really well. I'm really excited for this game to come to the Oculus Touch.
Windlands- This platformer gave me a bigger, truer sense of vertigo than any other game including Mirror's Edge. It was really immersive. When you're falling it feels like you're really falling. I would love to see this hookshot mechanic represented in some kind of VR Metroid Prime or maybe Zelda... As for this game, I really want to play it more. It won't run on my PC (NV 660 SLI won't cut it), so I will hold off until I get motivated to upgrade.

Obtained Star Fox Zero and Mario Kart 8 for Wii U and gave them a try. I am not loving the Wii U tablet-remote for Star Fox, but I get they really really want you to use it. The controls will take some getting used to. There are a lot of nice graphical improvements since Assault and lots of homage to the very first one. I think they are being slow in learning their lesson from previous installments, that people want a rail shooter. Not a third person shooter, not Uncharted with furries, not a land vehicle driving sim. Please get it through your head Nintendo.
In other news, began playing Professor Layton and The Last Specter

This graphical rogue-like was incredibly addictive and challenging. Here I finished the main questline.
What do I do now?
End game unlock-
Nope.

Saw the new Star Trek movie. Even without having seen the TV shows or the other ones, it was follow-able and pretty enjoyable. My only problem is I have trouble getting into the humor of Star Trek. That franchise, and all of Sci-fi are in love with this cliche where practically *every* humorous moment is one person freaking out because of some impending disaster, and the other person is being calm. That's literally it. It's funny because, 'why isn't that other person freaking out more?'. Ha ha ha.
I did like the special effects, especially when the scenes took place in space.

All this time has gone by since my early years and somehow I'm still in the park catching Pokemon.

Leopard slug. On the pathway by the house
Kind of gross but I don't have it in me to try and kill them. Slugs are very hard to exterminate, anyhow. This species of slug is native to Europe but was introduced during colonization times and became prolific here.

Like the other species, they have one behavior where if you touch them, the horns retract. Kind of cute tbh.
