\nThe Pillon Robbery<\/p>\n
It was pouring with rain that Saturday when Glen Roberts searched his garage for the tool he needed to fix his convertible roof. It wasn\u2019t there, so he decided to look for it later and went back into the house.
The phone rang. He picked it up and it was his friend, Paul.
\u201cDid you hear about the robbery?\u201d
\u201c\u2026..No.\u201d
\u201cThe Pillon family across the street was robbed.\u201d
\u201cReally? Who did it?\u201d
\u201cThe police don\u2019t know yet. I bet the thief is rejoicing right now, though, getting away with something like that. That family has always been rich. I guess unless they find the criminal, the Pillons will turn out like my family, in financial trouble, I mean. We\u2019ve never been too well off.\u201d
\u201cWell I know, but I can\u2019t relate. Anyway I need to go, maybe I\u2019ll see you later.\u201d
He then heard the doorbell ring and went to answer it. It was the police.
\u201cI\u2019m officer Miller. I\u2019m going to ask you a few questions having to do with the robbery at your neighbor\u2019s house. First of all, do you know about it?\u201d
\u201cYes. My friend told me.\u201d
\u201cHave you seen anyone suspicious around lately?\u201d
\u201cNo, I haven\u2019t seen anyone like that.\u201d
\u201cWhere were you today?\u201d
\u201c I was just driving around, shopping and running errands.\u201d
