A task in Human Resource Machine.

The idea is to write a program that computes Fibbonacci numbers; the program is comprised of simple assembly-like instructions. The game gives you special bonuses for optimizing for speed or size.

This approach uses loop unrolling. The resulting program is really unwieldy and cumbersome to follow, but outperforms the speed goal by a lot.

> Hi let's get you acquainted with the game. To start, choose your trainer profile image.
> How clever! (Although a little presumptuous) It automatically detected a female profile from my Nintendo account or something, so it shows me these photo options

Defeated the campaign, watched end credits for Star Fox: Zero. Now I will admit this game has some redeeming qualities. But not a lot. The control scheme never agreed with me, there is just a lack of precision using the Wii U controller tilt and it's not optional.

They keep forgetting Star Fox is a rail shooter. Rail. Shooter. Why do they force you to use the Landmaster? Why are you forced to use the Walker so often? It's Star Fox not Ground Fox. Nobody in the history of time has ever asked for this. On the bright side, I guess, once you beat it it tells you how much your team got paid, which is sort of funny

Tech director: Now, we have it! Thirty-two lush, graphically intensive tracks, anti-gravity racing, four-player splitscreen with many more AI racers in the level too. We've optimized load times. Reduced draw distance and aliasing. It took years, but we stretched this platform to the limit to overcome significant technical challenges. Where else do we go from here?

Game designer: A horn.

Developer: A what?

Game designer: A horn. Like, on a car.

Tech director: What does it do?

Game designer: HONK

Tech director: ...

Project manager: ...

Game designer: Nothing basically

Tried out the Vive... Holy cow it was awesome! We played two games: Job Simulator and Windlands.

Job Simulator- While the premise for this game might seem nothing out of ordinary, there are enough goofy things to do ('supersizer', the fake computer) to make it super entertaining. All the humorous elements and robot characters seem larger than life and everything is executed really well. I'm really excited for this game to come to the Oculus Touch.

Windlands- This platformer gave me a bigger, truer sense of vertigo than any other game including Mirror's Edge. It was really immersive. When you're falling it feels like you're really falling. I would love to see this hookshot mechanic represented in some kind of VR Metroid Prime or maybe Zelda... As for this game, I really want to play it more. It won't run on my PC (NV 660 SLI won't cut it), so I will hold off until I get motivated to upgrade.

Obtained Star Fox Zero and Mario Kart 8 for Wii U and gave them a try. I am not loving the Wii U tablet-remote for Star Fox, but I get they really really want you to use it. The controls will take some getting used to. There are a lot of nice graphical improvements since Assault and lots of homage to the very first one. I think they are being slow in learning their lesson from previous installments, that people want a rail shooter. Not a third person shooter, not Uncharted with furries, not a land vehicle driving sim. Please get it through your head Nintendo.

In other news, began playing Professor Layton and The Last Specter

Apparently, Wii U supports composite output. Huh.
